Privacy policy

demeritvivo is the data controller for personal information we hold about collectors, artists, and visitors. We keep that information in the UK and we do not sell it.

What we collect and why

We collect your name, email address, postal address, and the content of your messages when you enquire, buy, book a viewing, or submit a book. We use this to reply, to form a contract, to pack and insure a parcel, and to keep a record of provenance.

Want-list details — titles, grades, artists — stay on a private register so we can write when something matching lands. You can leave the register by emailing us.

We do not run advertising pixels. Essential cookies remember your cookie choice. If you accept optional cookies, we may keep a short analytics record of which pages were opened, without selling that record.

Invoices and conservation files are kept for as long as tax and provenance require — typically six years for accounting, longer where an object’s history depends on the paperwork. Enquiry emails that do not become a sale are deleted within two years.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you may ask for a copy of the data we hold, correct it, object to our using it, restrict it, or in some cases have it erased. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Write first to [email protected] and we will answer within one month.

Sharing

We share what a courier needs to deliver a parcel, what an insurer needs to cover it, and what a grading service needs if you have asked us to submit a copy. We do not pass collector lists to other dealers.

Data enquiries

Write to [email protected]. The controller’s address is East Layton, Richmond DL11 7PW, UK.

Cookies

A banner records your choice in local storage. Essential-only leaves the site working and stores that choice. No marketing cookies are set either way.

Security

Mail and invoices are kept on UK-hosted systems. Paper files sit in the gallery office, not on the viewing table.
